Child Sexual Abuse Prevention:
The Stranger You Know
The effects of childhood sexual abuse are profound and long-lasting. Among males, childhood sexual abuse has been linked to an increased likelihood of perpetrating child sexual abuse. Women who experienced sexual abuse as a child are more likely to physically abuse their own children.
There is a way to protect children. Research indicates that a community involvement prevention strategy is an effective means of reducing the incidence of child sexual abuse.
A free community presentation reveals how parents and adults can recognize potential child predators and what parents can teach children to help prevent them from becoming victims of sexual abuse.
